The Green Chicpea is a casual quick service restaurant serving authentic Middle Eastern food.
When it comes to falafel & hummus, we have become experts. For over 20 years, we have perfected our product to offer the best tasting nutritious meals to our customers; and we keep on getting better. With more than 18 authentic salads and our original sauces made with the finest ingredients from local purveyors, we are always on the lookout for the best quality ingredients available.

It all started with a simple idea, a personal cookbook. We used it to create a quick serve casual restaurant. Serving people meal options that’s delicious and nutritious.
We started in 1997 located in midtown NYC under the name 'House of Pita'. With our falafel and fresh salad bar, the store drew locals and travelers, thereafter, we became the go to place for falafels. In 2013, we moved to Newark NJ.
We are dedicated to offering fresh and nutritious meals with large varieties.
